My Daily Prayer

"I pray that Yeshua, will Lead me, Teach me, Bless me, That HIS will, is my will. That HE will allow me to touch all those that I meet with HIS great LOVE. That they see HIM not me. That he will allow me to show great Love, Passion and Strength to the mate HE has chosen for me as we die daily to serve HIM. That we Unite and become One under HIS loving arms of Grace and Mercy", Amen and Amen. Hello Kat!

Why Should You Listen To And Live for YWYH GOD

Answer: You'll Always Be The Top Dog
 Deuteronomy 28 1-13
Blessings for Obedience
 1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:  3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
 5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
 6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
 7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
 8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
 9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. 11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
 12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Deuteronomy 28 14-68 covers the Curses for Disobedience... Here is the link for the whole chapter. I like the idea of being Top Dog. If I do what is asked of by YWYH then I will not need to worry about the curses. Just remember YWYH is a GOD of LOVE he does not stand over you ready to pounce with you are doing something wrong. When you oops just go to him and ask for forgiveness and mercy. Repent and follow his word and receive his blessings.

Also follow this word. Galatians 6:1
Doing Good to All
 1Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.

Halloween or All Saints Day

Halloween is upon us, is it hocus-pocus superstition or truly Christian focused? All Hallows Eve was actually intended to be a righteous opportunity purposed in history past to commemorate old saints. So how about a little history.

Most historians trace the origin of Halloween back to the ancient and enduring Christian tradition of celebrating the lives of Christian martyrs on the anniversaries of their deaths. When Pope Boniface IV reconsecrated the Pantheon in Rome on May 13, 609 AD, renaming it the “Church of St. Mary and the Martyrs,” he established that anniversary as a day of celebratory remembrance for all of the Church’s martyrs. Pope Gregory III later changed the date of remembrance to November 1 when he dedicated a chapel in St. Peter’s Basilica to “all saints.” November 1 became All Saints Day, otherwise known as All Hallow’s Day. The night before became All Hallow’s Eve (“Halloween” being a colloquial contraction of that phrase). While Halloween began as a localized celebration, Pope Gregory IV extended its observance to all of Christendom in the 9th Century AD. As Christianity spread throughout the world, pagan holidays were either Christianized or forgotten. Samhain was absorbed into Halloween. Costumes and gifts and bobbing for apples were preserved, incorporated into the new holiday. They remain a celebrated part of Halloween to this day, many centuries later. The celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection was supplanted in the popular culture by the Easter bunny. Trick-or-treating eclipsed pious regard for Christian martyrs.

The Bible doesn’t speak directly about Halloween, but some biblical principles apply. One things is clear -- all pagan practices are to be avoided. Witchcraft, occult practices, sorcery, etc. are strictly forbidding in the Bible (Exodus 22:18; Acts 8:9-24; Acts 16, 19). It is obvious that a small child dressing up as a princess or a cowboy isn’t involving themselves with witchcraft, so what is a biblical stance on Halloween?

Parents, the decision is up to you. If you decide Halloween is something fun for your children, make sure they are kept far away from the evil aspects of Halloween. When believers participate in anything (even Halloween), their attitudes, dress, and behavior should glorify Christ (Philippians 1:27)
As Halloween approaches and before we know
The moon will be casting its golden glow.
The air will be crisp with much cooler days
The leaves full of color to brighten the way.

The fields are all full and ready to glean,
Children laugh at the pumpkins they’ve seen!
Apples are ready to pick from the trees
Then cider will promptly be made from these.

The Lord looks down on our fun Fall days
And watches about as we go on our way.
The harvest is ripe in the fields of the soul
Make sure “to glorify Him” is our goal!

Witches and monsters we close our eyes to
But Lord, open our eyes to those who need You!
Send the workers far out in the fields
Glean from their work what You’d have them yield.

Halloween time can be fun -- it’s a treat!
But do things that honor God on the streets.
Hand out tracts with your goodies this year
You never know what seeds will fall near!

A seed that will sprout and soon grow to be
Lord, another ripe harvest for Thee!
Give us words and deeds on this night
That give others peace, not fear and fright. ©Lucy Cain 8/06

Believe The Miracles...

"Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father." John 10:37,38 (niv)

Let me get you the background story: It was back in the late 90's, I had developed what seemed to be a ulcer in my stomach. The symptoms were the constant heartburn, lying down would promote that bitter gaseous liquid that burned every inch of your throat coming up and going down. Setting the bed frame to create a gentle angle so I was never laying absolutely flat on the bed. Adjusting my diet to the point all I ate was tapioca pudding day and night (not even chocolate tapioca pudding). Nothing spicy or hot, no Pepsi, no chocolate, just very bland foods. If I remember right this went on for months. The doctor put me on one medicine and another to help me with my ulcer. That "purple pill" had not come out yet. Of course they ran all the test, finally they decided to go in and take a peek. My folks took my illness before our LORD (Yeshua), and the church they attended. They petitioned our Savior to heal my ulcers and give my a clean "Bill of Health". Lo and Behold HIS healing grace fell on me! When the doctors went in and took a peek they found no problems, perfect tissue absolutely no trauma to the stomach lining, no acid burns, no holes, just perfect tissue. The doctors were amazed, they sent me home and said I was health as a horse or in my case a mule... (an affectionate term my Mother used to describe my yard work for her).

So to this day I eat all the hot spicy foods that I used to enjoy before my ulcers (YES I enjoy Mexican and Chinese foods that warms you through and through.) So YES I do know of Yeshua healing grace and abundant love. I Praise HIS name and thank HIM always for that special touch. He touched be then and HE still touches me even today. If I am not healed today, It is because Yeshua is using me and my disability to HIS glory. YES I am older and the pain is not fun, I do hurt all the time, some times more than others. My Friends David and Tam keep reminding that I need to profess Yeshua's grace and healing power. They are RIGHT I do need to. This is the time that Yeshua is building my faith and giving me strength. If Yeshua chooses to heal me again HE will, If not may everyone including myself see how HE is using the disability to HIS glory, Amen. Thank you, Yeshua, and YES I do believe in YOU and in your MIRACLES you perform everyday!

Look Cute Chihuahua's

Yes I love Teacup Chihuahua puppies! They are sooo cute, tiny and adorable. I know when I find that one little girl puppy that I can not live without, I will have to move. But that will be okay. That is a small price to pay - to be Licked, Loved, Kissed, Cuddled, Be there around the clock - 24/7 and always there to listen with a warm heart, and precious eyes just for me.!!

By His Stripes I Am Healed Or...

Does YWYH (GOD) always heal the Sick.

Weakness Is Strength

Paul said - But Yeshua said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Yeshua may rest upon me. For the sake of Yeshua, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and calamities, For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Certainly, healing for the body is a benefit of Yeshua's  death on the cross, a benefit for the church as a result of His atoning sacrifice. However, it is not -- it has never been in the history of the church -- a guarantee that YWYH  has to heal your body; He doesn't have to!

Some within the church will try to tell you, "God's perfect will is that you are never going to be sick." Well, I'll tell you something: there are certain lessons -- if you are honest -- that you'll admit you never would have learned unless the Lord flattened you out long enough to get your attention. Sometimes God teaches us things through our suffering.

Moreover, I must say that sometimes a person, after praying for a healing, may receive a no from God -- a benevolent no, a kindly no, a protective no maybe, but no nevertheless. Tragically, however, there are teachers -- in the Faith movement, for example -- who have the colossal gall to tell people that if they were more spiritual, if they had more faith, if they believed like they believed, they would be well. Such faulty teaching can crush whatever faith these poor people have. (I have personly experienced this many times through my life (aje.))

Now, I believe you should go to the Lord and believe Him for healing, and trust Him for healing, and pursue Him for healing. And I believe you should search your soul to make certain there is nothing in your life standing in the way of healing. But you must come to Him and lay yourself out on His conditions. The Scripture says,

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" (1 John 5:14).

If perhaps God intends to teach you something through an illness, He might not heal you immediately.

So don't think you are being neglected by the Holy Spirit if you don't get healed. Don't assume that the Lord is against you. Don't conclude that you necessarily have an absence of faith or secret sin.

Take a good look at 1 Peter 2:21:

"Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps."

Circle the word example in this verse. Here we are told that Jesus suffered. And He left us an example. We are to follow in His steps.

And what is the meaning of Philippians 3:10, which refers to "the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings"? Let us be clear on this: suffering is an integral part of the fact of life, and is often used by God in the development and maturation of the Christian.

The apostle Paul had a greater standing with the Lord in terms of his ministry than I have or anybody else has ever had. According to 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 Paul requested healing from the Lord three times. And three times he got an answer back: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Translation: God said no to Paul's request for healing. And God had a purpose in saying no.

Did Paul have lack of faith? Rubbish! Was Paul suffering from some secret sin that he was carrying around? Do you see how utterly absurd this is? Do you see how it plays on people's emotions and lives? Do you see how it undermines faith in the absolute authority of Scripture and transfers it to a human being whose experience becomes the criteria?

This type of teaching eats like a cancer in the body of Christ and it must be resisted and opposed at every opportunity so that Christians will not have a cloud hanging over their heads all the time. Instead, they will realize that Jesus really does love them (despite their illness) and that any healing that may come is in His sovereign hands, not ours.(1)

The bottom line is after I have taken my aches, pains, illnesses, and disabilities to Yeshua, (as I do with everything in my life as I have been taught), and I have yet to be healed then just possibly Yeshua is either using me to his Glory or I am still in the process of learning something that Yeshua has laid before me. It does not mean I have to enjoy the suffering or be silent, but simply endure and know that HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME, FOR HIS POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN (my) WEAKNESS.  I can't tell you how many times I  go back to Yeshua and ask and re-examine my life to see if he will heal me. My disability is so slight compared to many, but is does not make life any easier. I praise Yeshua, I seek his love and pray for the constant realignment of my Mind, Body and Soul it is HIS will I wish to follow not mine.

Remember the 4th Commandment

The 4th Commandment
I want to thank Marilyn for bringing video to light. May Yeshua bless you and keep you in all that you do.

Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Please refer to this link for more information concerning just why we should honor this commandment.

Mike and Molly

Thank you CBS... I have not had such a great time watching a sitcom in years. Did I say Thank You. To say the least I am a big "Mike and Molly" fan. If any of you clown even think about canceling this show .... Your in BIG Trouble. You hear me!

Here is the scoop: "MIKE & MOLLY" is a comedy from Chuck Lorre ("Two and a Half Men" and "The Big Bang Theory") about a working class Chicago couple who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. Officer Mike Biggs (Billy Gardell) is a good-hearted cop who sincerely wants to lose weight. Mike's partner, Officer Carl McMillan (Reno Wilson), is a thin, fast-talking wise-guy, who despite his teasing encourages Mike on his road to slimness and romance. While speaking at an O.A. meeting, Mike meets Molly Flynn (Melissa McCarthy), an instantly likeable fourth-grade teacher with a healthy sense of humor about her curves. For Molly, focusing on smart choices isn't easy because she lives with her sexy older sister, Victoria (Katy Mixon), and their mother, Joyce (Swoosie Kurtz), both of whom flaunt their healthy appetites and slender figures. Mike also faces temptation at the diner he and Carl frequent, where they've become friends with the Senegalese waiter, Samuel (Nyambi Nyambi), who finds trying to eat less a foreign concept. For "Mike and Molly", thanks to their mutual love of pie and the desire to resist it, finding each other may have been worth the "weight."   Bottom Line - Keep them Coming!!   Source from CBS.

Carly - Overcoming Autism...

This video is so profoundly touching, it breaks my heart each time I watch. Yes tears just stream down my face. This young lady is so blessed by YWYH (GOD) that it only humbles me to the quick. Any problems, aches, pains or difficulties I have due to my disability shadows in comparison. May YWYH continue to bless her and use her to HIS Glory. If you would please pass this video long to others, sharing and showing:

Defintion: Autism is one of a group of serious developmental problems called autism spectrum disorders (ASD) that appear in early childhood — usually before age 3. Though symptoms and severity vary, all autism disorders affect a child's ability to communicate and interact with others.

The number of children diagnosed with autism appears to be rising. It's not clear whether this is due to better detection and reporting of autism, a real increase in the number of cases, or both.

While there is no cure for autism, intensive, early treatment can make a big difference in the lives of many children with the disorder.

Asus introduces Android based tablet.

ASUS just dumped Windows Embedded Compact 7 for Android for its lower-end tablet devices, and CEO Jerry Shen is passing along the savings. He's pledging that the 10-inch Eee Pad EP101TC, due to ship in March, will cost under $399 -- and if the Notion Ink Adam is any indication that means it'll be $398. Then there's the EP121, a 12-inch tablet running Windows 7 that's positioned rather higher up in the market, as indicated by its $1,000 price tag. Shen says this high cost is due to that docking station able to intriguingly transform it into a laptop when it ships around December or January. Next is yet another Eee Pad due around January, one that will run Windows Embedded Compact 7 on a 10-inch screen and at a price somewhere south of $499. Finally, there's the grayscale Eee Tablet e-reader thing, formerly rumored to be under $599 but now priced at a solid $300 and, supposedly, shipping in October. Surely we're mere months away from tablet saturation at this point.

Importance of having a pet.

Pets have often been referred to as a "social lubricant".   Ever notice how it is so easy to greet and  talk with someone on a walk if they have a pet.
OR

Single seniors who tend to be "house bound" are encouraged to get exercise for their pet (and themselves).  Also, they are more likely to be motivated to eat.  After all, the pet needs to eat regular meals!

OR

Did you know that petting a dog or cat lowers your blood pressure?

OR

Studies on outcomes of persons who have suffered from a major heart attack show some interesting facts.
First, having a pet at home is as important to their outcome as any single medication.
Second, having a pet at home to pet and talk to has been shown to be as important as having a spouse at home!

Pets really seem to have a psychic ability that goes beyond human understanding. These are benefits readily recognized by animal lovers. Some dogs have proven this ability time and time again when someone is going to experience an epileptic seizure. This phenomenon can't be easily explained by science, but dog lovers know it needs no explanation.

If you've ever come home from a tough day and have a pet to greet you at the door, you probably already know the stress reducing benefits of pet ownership. The simple act of petting our dog or cuddling with a purring cat can lower our stress, heart rate and blood pressure. They help us forget about feeling ill and can help us forget we're in pain as well. Most of the time our pets are so sensitive to our feelings, they already know when we don't feel well or even when we're sad.

Pets give us benefits not always readily available from our human companions and that's unconditional love and acceptance. Our pets are always there for us and they are great listeners! A pet never judges us and they continue to love us in spite of our flaws and mistakes. That simple fact can be a stress reducer. Sometimes it's difficult to get that kind of support from human companions.  Go here for the full link.

Needless to say I truly miss my Chihuahua's they were always loving, and there for me. Buttons, Precious, Susie, Sugar and Peaches. they made it possible to survive even when a good family life was not in my reach. All that I have now are pictures and memories. I only hope that I am able to find the love and tenderness that they provided, and that I am still on course to find my loving mate for the rest of my life. This is my daily prayer.

Surviving the Pain of Being Alone

It is late at night as usual I am awake, I stumbled across this article. I take no credit for it but I felt that it was worth while to share it here as while. As usual I provide the original link here from Rinatta Paries.

This article is relevant for anyone single or in a relationship, or married, happily or unhappily.

I suspect the pain of being alone is a universal human experience. And I suspect most people seek out relationships to avoid or soothe this pain. Most people will stay in a relationship that is not working as a way to avoid this pain.

Unfortunately, no relationship can relieve the pain of being permanently alone. Even in the best of relationships, there always comes a time when our friends, family, and partners are not available and we are alone.

When you feel alone, what do you do?

If you seek out relationships or stay in relationships because you can't deal with being alone, the time you are in fact alone can be unbearably painful. And the time you are with someone will be bittersweet because you will know on some level that you will be alone again soon.

One of the marks of maturing emotionally is learning to bear with and even thrive when alone. And your successful ability to be alone is what allows you to have the best relationships of your life.

The successful ability to be alone can mean the ability to feel alone and lonely without the need to seek someone out to fill the void. It can also mean being alone but not being lonely, with the void filled with creativity or self-expression, or
passion for pursuit of something that matters to you.

Successfully being alone specifically means being alone without filling the void with negative things, or behaviors or numbing out.

How can your ability to be alone allow you to have amazing relationships? Here is how:
* You do not end up in a relationship simply so that you are not alone -- you actually choose who you are in a relationship with.
* In times of trouble, you let your partner go and work out whatever he or she needs to work out, without the fear of being alone -- you have already faced that fear.
* If the relationship is not meeting your needs or is hurting you and your partner refuses to alter behavior that will make a difference, you can walk away because you have already faced being alone.
* You have leverage with your partner -- often, your partner will change his or her behavior rather than risk losing you.

How can you face your feelings about being alone? Here are some powerful steps.

1. Stop doing all of the behaviors that help you avoid being alone.
2. Feel your feelings and know they are only feelings.
3. Continue to not do behaviors that stop the feelings of being alone.
4. Practice self care -- sleep, eat, exercise, read, talk to yourself gently.
5. Do not numb out with activities that stop feelings.
6. If you fall off the wagon and numb out, simply go back to not doing these behaviors and allow yourself to feel your feelings of being alone.
7. Know the feelings will pass and you will be a stronger, more resilient, more powerful person on the other end.
8. Watch yourself as you go through your life and thwart any move on your part to relieve the feeling of being alone.
9. Trust yourself and your own ability to take care of yourself.
10. Use this method to face any other fear that may prevent you from living the life you want.

Good luck and let me know how this works for you.

Your Relationship Coach,
Rinatta Paries

As I personal note I hope that you find something here that helps "you".  Be Blessed  Andye

Amazing Love...

I love HIM because HE loved me FIRST!

Soul Provider by Michael Bolton

My friend Wendy loves this song, so here it is. I truly hope you find your Soul Provider.
Wendy sold her car today and will be getting a new that she will love to drive and you will hear her sing Michael's songs as she drives down the road. :)

One day I will be able to sing and feel this passion. All in YWYH's time, mean time I have over 20 pen-pals that keep my mind in check till my Sweet Angel appears. Not to mention close to 1000 visits to my blog a week.  Andye

A question I am asked a lot.

Why do I say "Yeshua" instead of  is real name "Jesus"?

My Answer is because the letter "J" did not exist when Yeshua walked on this earth.  In my studies and there is a lot available out there. I used this one link here to help today with this blog. Here is a portion of it.

It is most proper to call Him Yeshua. It was indeed his proper name, given to him by his parents, and only in Hebrew does this name have any meaning. In Hebrew Yeshua means both "Salvation," and the concatenated form of Yahoshua, is "Lord who is Salvation." The name Jesus has no intrinsic meaning in English whatsoever.
In fact have you ever noticed how many people have the name "Jesus" today? According to the last U.S. Census, there are some 242,285 people in the U.S. with the first name Jesus. Statistically the 276th most popular first name.

Continuing on -  Yeshua is a Hebrew name which has been transliterated into Greek as Iesous (IhsouV: pronounced "ee-ay-SUS"). The English "Jesus" comes from the Latin transliteration of the Greek name into the Latin Iesus. Now Greek has no "y" sound, but the Latin "i" is both an "i" and a "j" (i.e., it can have a consonantal force in front of other vowels), the latter of which is properly pronounced like the English "y" (which explains the German Jesu, "YAY-su")That is why we spell Jesus as we do, taking it straight from Latin, but we pronounce the name with a soft "j" sound because that is what we do in English with the consonantal "j". Again please refer to the link above for more in-depth study of the spellings of "Yeshewa" name.

It really does not matter if you used one name or title over another as long as you have a personal relationship with "HIM". If I had a dear relationship with a person and the called me "BABY" do you not think I would know that, that person was referring to me or "CAREBEAR" or any other name attached to me.

The idea also can be extended to which bible do I use,  I use the RNKJV "Restore Names King James Version. I also like the 1611 version of the King James Bible. All though the newer  version of the Bible are easier to read many times the true meaning of the original text is lost if you compare it to the other translations available. So it is often nice to have a comparative bible to read, I have one but the print is so small to my eyes that I now often use on-line bibles frequently.  Again it is more important to have a one and one personal relationship with "Yeshua" than worry about which bible you should have. Pick one that you can read and enjoy.  If you do not know him I pray that you seek HIM out and find out how are a "Friend" he is.

I do not profess to be the best "Child of YWYH (GOD)" but I am constantly seeking his way. We all fall short of his Glory, it is only by his grace and mercy that we are whole. That reminds of the story of the prodigal son, did not his father welcome his son home with open arms upon the son's return.

So weather you call him LORD, SAVIOR, JESUS, CHRIST, MESSIAH, MASTER, KING, NAZARENE or many other names he has come to be known, just be sure to know HIM in your heart.

Intro to Qchord Forum and my reply to Gloria. :)

Just in case you all have a QChord but do not know about the forum you can go here.   This is where I found Lloyd and now Gloria.  There are around 2300 people in this forum. I hope to find more friends here as I go, if I do not annoy them to death. I am in the 'Monkey see Monkey do" stage of my playing with horrible timing issues. "Can you picture Frankenstein trying to dance and sing". Do you Remember "Young Frankenstein" a 1974 classic scifi  comedy? Yep that would be me at best LOL . Great movie by the way, you should see it or even watch it again. It certainly brings smiles and laughter into my life.

So Thank you for your reply Gloria, I have downloaded a few of your songs to listen to and study the best I can. As I type this reply I am down loading  the manual being a pdf file I can zoom in on the text the real manual is difficult to read, again Thank you. You are a Blessing I hope to hear and see more of your works. It finally finished downloading.

I am one of those types that you could classify as a non-musical, at the moment my timing skills are poor at best. You would pay me not to sing. But they say music smooths the savage beast so I am trying to see if that is true. I know it will take a while to be able to play a piece as while as you, if only in my dreams. In five grade I sang and played along with an auto-harp, back then I was sure that Miss Plant my Music teacher was surely and "Angel" on that Harp. I remember she was the first person that I ever knew to have frosted hair. I am not in Fifth grade any more and I do not have Miss Plant to make me look good but I still wish to play once again. I has been a long time since I have read music I am sure that does not help any. I do not know when the press the chord keys and when to strum, so I need to just learn how to do the chords first and worry about strumming when I "know" what I am doing on the chords. :)

Fix its...

I want to thank Wendy for sending me these quick fix it ideas... I decided to place the list here and label it "fix its", so everyone might find an idea or two.  I also want to "thank you" the person or persons involved in finding and creating the ideas and bringing them to light.

Fix its...
How many of these did YOU know about?

A sealed envelope - Put in the freezer for a few hours, then slide a
Knife under the flap. The envelope can then be resealed. (hmmmmmm..)
============
Use Empty toilet paper roll to store appliance cords. It keeps them
Neat and you can write on the roll what appliance it belongs to.
===========
For icy door steps in freezing temperatures: get warm water and put
Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't
Refreeze. (wish I had known this for the last 40 years!)
==========
To remove old wax from a glass candle holder, put it in the freezer for
A few hours. Then take the candle holder out and turn it upside down. The
Wax will fall out.

Crayon marks on walls? This worked wonderfully! A damp rag, dipped
In baking soda. Comes off with little effort (elbow grease that is!).
==========
Permanent marker on appliances/counter tops (like store receipt
BLUE!) rubbing alcohol on paper towel.
============
Whenever I purchase a box of S.O.S. Pads, I immediately take a pair of
Scissors and cut each pad into halves. After years of having to throw
Away rusted and unused and smelly pads, I finally decided that this would
Be much more economical. Now a box of S.O.S. Pads last me indefinitely!
In fact, I have noticed that the scissors get 'sharpened'' this way!
=============
Blood stains on clothes? Not to worry! Just pour a little hydrogen
Peroxide on a cloth and proceed to wipe off every drop of blood.. Works
Every time! (Now, where to put the body?) LOL
==========
Use vertical strokes when washing windows outside and horizontal
For inside windows. This way you can tell which side has the streaks.
Straight vinegar will get outside windows really clean. Don't wash windows
On a sunny day. They will dry too quickly and will probably streak.
============
Spray a bit of perfume on the light bulb in any room to create a lovely
Light scent in each room when the light is turned on.
========
Place fabric softener sheets in dresser drawers and your clothes will smell
Freshly washed for weeks to come. You can also do this with towels and linen.
=========
Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at least 3
Hours prior to burning.
======
To clean artificial flowers, pour some salt into a paper bag and add the
Flowers. Shake vigorously as the salt will absorb all the dust and dirt
And leave your artificial flowers looking like new! Works like a charm!
============
To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet, simply add a drop or two of dish soap
And enough water to cover bottom of pan, and bring to a boil on stove top.
===========
Spray your TUPPERWARE with nonstick cooking spray before pouring
In tomato based sauces and there won't be any stains.
===========
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
=============
When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the
Corn's' natural sweetness

Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half, and rub it on your
Forehead. The throbbing will go away.
=============
Don't throw out all that leftover wine: Freeze into ice cubes for future
Use in casseroles and sauces ....... Left over wine? What's that? :)
=============
To get rid of itch from mosquito bites, try applying soap on the area
And you will experience instant relief.
============
Ants, ants, ants everywhere ... Well, they are said to never cross a chalk line. So,
Get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor or wherever ants tend to march. See for yourself.
============
Use air-freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job and better still,
Leaves a lovely smell to the shine.

When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to
Tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, and
Then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.

Now look what you can do with Alka Seltzer........ Clean a toilet.
Drop in two Alka Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush and flush.
The citric acid and effervescent action clean vitreous China

Clean a vase.
To remove a stain from the bottom of a glass vase or cruet, fill with water
and drop in two Alka Seltzer tablets.
=============
Polish jewelry.
Drop two Alka Seltzer tablets into a glass of water and immerse the
jewelry for two minutes.
==============
Clean a thermos bottle.
Fill the bottle with water, drop in four Alka Seltzer tablets, and let soak

Unclog a drain.
Clear the sink drain by dropping three Alka Seltzer tablets down the

"Susie Q" is here!

Simple and sweet my Q-Chord is here. Thank You, Lloyd... Now please excuse me I have so much to learn.
Even before I did anything but put the batteries in, I had to show David,my Brother,my Friend, My Pastor. Oh My Goodness, David  plays it like he has owned it for years. How does he do that I wished I had just a touch of his talent. I really wish he would put a CD together, you all really did to hear him play. When our Friend Shawn joins in , it is so sweet. All I could do is smile and enjoy their beautiful music. Maybe someday I will be half as good as David is. YWYH is so good to me. Bye for now got to go back and re-read all my QNotes from Lloyd and start on my McGuffey Eclectic Q chord Reader. If ya are interested in a Reader just drop me a note and I will see what I can do. After that I need to tackle Walt's lessons, remember he has 52 packed lessons to go through as well. I have posted five of them, feel free to go back and look at them and follow allow with me once I have finished my McGuffey primer. Later

UPS verses USPS

Today "UPS" made my Brown eyes Blue.... "UPS" tried to say that my address did not exist, Even though the United States Post Service office(USPS) here in Mansfield, MO, "Issued" me the address, telling me to use one over the older address. Because many computers will not accept Route and Box numbers any more. After calling "UPS", because I thought they were running late... all I had to do was give my name and they knew they was in BIG trouble... They promised that they fixed my address in their computer system and it will never happen again. Strange I already had 3 packages delivered here.  But I guess it was not by UPS, Oh well, guess this proves Uncle Sam does not know it all. Whew!

NEWS FLASH !

UPS just called talked to Jeff, I discovered the problem the road I live on is split between two counties.  USPS used one address and UPS uses another, the problem will be resolved once this area gets 911 coding. WOW what fun we have. So I will meet up with UPS today and pickup my package, instead of waiting for Tuesday delivery. So I meet a new friend, Tonya with UPS... later gotta run.

Rescue a Chihuahua!

Someday soon - I will save one or two! Right now, where I live, I can not. Viva the Revolution! This is my prayer everyday! Thousands of Chihuahua's are killed or die everyday. My Heart cries out for them everyday. Especially the the teacups. Puppy Mills are nothing but human greed and love of money. Rescue one today.  Chihuahua are small, eat less than a cup of food per day, but give so much love - more than a heart can hold. If you must buy a puppy PLEASE be sure it is a healthy, certified breeder and not a mass producing puppy mill. Buying a puppy at a pet store is no guarantee that they bought from a puppy mill. Remember they just want to make a profit and may not concern themselves where their product came from. If you are buying from a dog owner's home, How well was the adult dogs treated and loved. A unhealthy or abused puppy may break your heart later.

Please let me know about your Chihuahua rescue!

The Day of Atonement

My Friends, Pastor David and Tam reminded me that this Saturday from sundown to sundown the next day is the Day of Atonement. It is annual event. During this day four ideas take place, "Fasting, Sacrifice,  the Scapegoat and the Jubilee".

So What is Fasting, To fast is to humble oneself before God but it is also an all out, whole hearted effort to remove the heavy burden (of sin) Isaiah 58:6. Fasting is about REPENTANCE. The act of fasting is and should be a single minded effort to establish a proper relationship with God. To the exclusion of all other activities, including eating and drinking, therefore absolutely NO WORK should be done.

We must REPENT, which means not only being sorry for what we have done, it means being sorry enough to CHANGE, to STOP DOING THOSE THINGS THAT SEPARATE US FROM GOD! Only then can the next step take place.

The day will come, on some future Fast of Atonement that, the true High Priest of God, the only true Mediator between God and man, will remove the Vail of sin separating the majority of mankind from God and apply His sacrifice making atonement for all men, even as He atoned for the sins of His called out firstfruits on the day of PASSOVER!

On this day the Scape Goat is chosen by lot. Lev 16:8. This means that God decides which goat to take, for man is unable to discern between good and evil. We must follow God and not attempt to define good and evil for ourselves. We simply do not have the experience, knowledge or wisdom to know for ourselves. Doing what we think is right, is self-righteousness. Doing what God says is right, is true Godly righteousness. All the sins, of all the people, are confessed over the scape goat and it is led into the wilderness. Thus signifying forgiveness and the total removal of all sin forever. As the sacrificial goat represents the atoning power of Christ's sacrifice applied to the majority of mankind, the Scape Goat represents the responsibility for sin being placed upon the originator of sin, satan, who is then removed from the presence of God and man forever.

The JUBILEE occurs every fiftieth year and is declared on the Day of Atonement Lev 25:1-14. This day pictures the restoration of all things. It represents FREEDOM for all people, LIBERTY is PROCLAIMED and all persons may return to their own lands and families. This ever so clearly demonstrates FREEDOM FROM THE HEAVY BURDEN OF SIN, brought about through REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS! It shows the removal of Sin and the suffering it brings. It shows the atonement made for sin, now applied to a REPENTANT HUMANITY, giving ALL PERSONS, LIBERTY from the enslavement of sin and from the influence of Satan.

For further reading on this please refer to this link among many that are available on this topic.

This is the Day...

This is not Jewish, nor Christian, but YHWH law. Enjoy this day in HIM.

Just do it HIS Way, and feel GOOD in HIM

More on "Q"

As I wait for my Q-Chord to come via the brown Santa, I am trying to find more Blogs and forums to join up with. So let me know !!
I stumbled over a blog that was written by in 2000 by Jeff Obee. That link is here. Or you  can follow allow with my cut and paste routine. I certainly believe Jeff hit the nail on the head with this piece that he wrote.
Sophisticated instruments, such as keyboard workstations, can be wonderful, but sometimes you want to play an instrument that is simple, immediate, and fun. When I first saw the Suzuki Q Chord QC-1, I thought I had found such an instrument. The inclusion of MIDI and a playback-only GM synth gave me high hopes that it would serve as an alternative controller. However, the more I played the Q Chord, the more I realized that while it might be a nice songwriting tool or performing instrument, it is not the controller of my dreams.
Click for Lager Image
Although Suzuki calls the dark burgundy, pear-shaped Q Chord a "digital song-card guitar," it's more like an electronic Auto-harp, complete with chord buttons and a Strum-plate that lets you "strum" the chords. The "neck" has 36 rubber chord buttons that are laid out in three rows of 12. These trigger major, major 7, minor, minor 7, augmented, and dominant chords in all 12 keys but also have other functions. The front panel presents a 5-inch speaker with bass porting, a volume dial, and numerous plastic buttons for selecting modes of operation. The pitch-bend wheel is located on the upper right side of the instrument.
On the side of the unit are MIDI In and Out ports, a 11/44-inch audio output that doubles as a headphone jack, and an AC adapter jack. A Q-card cartridge port at the end of the neck allows you to play along with popular song sequences and rhythm patterns. Underneath is a compartment for eight C cells. Among the numerous optional accessories are an AC adapter ($12.50), a DC car adapter ($12.50), a strap ($19.95), and a case ($24.95).  Search Amazon.com for Q Chord

STRUMMIN' The main draw of the Q Chord was the Strum-plate, which spans four octaves and is played by stroking with the tip of the fingers. You can tap as well, but the response is poor: even the response to slow taps can be uneven unless you hit the small sweet spot.
The Strum-plate triggers the chord tones using one of ten sounds selected from the front panel: Guitar, Piano, Strings, Vibes, Organ, Voice, Flute, Harp, Synth, and Sound FX sounds. If these sounds won't do the job for you, you can select from 100 other GM sounds using the Strum-plate Select button and the Q Card Control window or MIDI Program Changes. You can also control relative volume and sustain.

THE SECTIONS The Q Chord is clearly intended to be a "home" instrument, not a professional-caliber musical instrument. The focus is on playing along with chord, bass, drum auto-accompaniment, and melodic fill. Q Chord sections control rhythm, Strum-plate voices, effects (vibrato and reverb), Chord mode, EZ Play (for quick auditioning of sounds), and Q-card. Except for the drums, unfortunately, each of the accompaniment sections can be switched off individually.
Chord mode has six buttons that let you set up your accompaniment. Auto Chord provides basic comping, Chord Hold sustains the chord, Chord Plus adds incidental auto-accompaniment parts, Manual Chord triggers a consistent chord without any other audible accompaniment (some accompaniment MIDI data is still sent), and Bass Control adds the appropriate patch and bass line. You can use various combinations to create a mix.
The Melody Keyboard feature in Chord mode lets you perform single notes with the chord buttons. The notes are identified using a plastic "keyboard" overlay on the lower two rows. In this mode, the top row of buttons provides Transposition (in semitones), Tuning, MIDI Ex (which lets you play the internal voices from an external controller), Octave, and Voice Ex (for selecting additional on-board GM voices).
There are ten on-board rhythm-section styles: bossa nova, country, jazz, dance, new age, march, waltz, ballad, rock, and blues shuffle. Most of them groove reasonably, despite the expected "cheese" factor. However, the new age rhythm is more akin to Latin, the ballad works better up-tempo, and blues shuffle is preferable at a slower tempo.
You can alter the tempo (from approximately 62 to 240 bpm) and control the relative volume of the rhythm track. You can trigger a 4-bar intro or ending, and a 1-bar or shorter fill that ends on the downbeat of the next bar regardless of where you start.
In addition to its on-board accompaniment features, the Q Chord lets you play along with popular tunes in the form of GM Standard MIDI Files on Suzuki's proprietary Q-cards ($19.95 each). As of this writing, there are at least nine cartridges and companion books, including Rhythm Styles (30 generic styles, including salsa, reggae, rap, folk, and R&B) and collections of Beatles, pop, country, religious, and children's songs. That's not a bad starting selection for a home sing-along. You can't create your own cards or load MIDI files via the MIDI input, though, so you can't take advantage of third-party song sequences.

MINOR DISCHORD Playing the Q Chord is uncomfortable no matter how you hold it. If you lay it flat on its back (it has rubber feet) and play the Strum-plate right-handed, the pitch wheel's location is very inconvenient, but you can reach the chord buttons with your left hand. This is the playing position shown in the manual. However, the chord buttons seem oriented toward being played upside down, as if holding a guitar neck. After all, this is a "digital song-card guitar."
Indeed, if you hold the instrument like a guitar (rested on your knee or with the optional strap), you can fairly easily strum and reach the pitch wheel with your right pinkie finger. The chord buttons are oriented correctly for left-handed playing. But an intrusive plastic "horn" and narrow "cutaway" (obviously intended to make the Q Chord appear guitar-like) prevent you from comfortably playing the chord buttons with your left hand. Laying the unit flat seems to be the better of two poor choices.

MIDI OVERBOARD The Q Chord receives and transmits MIDI in Omni mode only. It transmits its various parts on 12 separate channels. For instance, the Melody Keyboard is on channel 1, Chord Plus on channels 3 and 4, and the Strum-plate on channels 14, 15, and 16.
As noted previously, most Q Chord sections can be turned off, but not drums-so MIDI data is constantly output on channel 10. Strangely, the Q Chord regularly sends MSB, LSB, and Pitch Bend value 64 (the middle, "neutral" position on a pitch wheel) messages on all accompaniment channels, even those that are supposed to be turned off. Presumably this data is intended to reset synth voices on all channels, but when a part is off, it ought to send no data.
To top that off, when you change chords with the buttons, the Q Chord sends unexpected Pitch Bend messages in order to shift sustaining Strum-plate notes to the proper pitch. (Remember, the Strum-plate triggers chord tones determined by the buttons.) These Pitch Bend messages can make a non-GM synth sound drastically out of tune. Add the three channels for Strum-plate output, and you have enough extraneous data to annoy the average sequencer jockey.
I connected the Strum-plate with several GM-compatible modules (an EVS, Yamaha MU5, and Korg NS5R GM set) and found that the auto-accompaniment and Strum-plate triggered the GM modules correctly. But using it with a GM sound bank in my K2000 resulted in very off-pitch notes. In addition, the tails of ringing notes were often truncated on playback, even with GM modules.
With some effort, you can sequence Strum-plate parts, even in odd meters. To sequence the Strum-plate on its own, I had to turn down the drum part (turning down the Rhythm volume on the Q Chord sends CC 7 messages to the GM module) so I didn't have to listen to it. But I was still forced to remove the superfluous drum, Pitch Bend, and other data recorded to the sequencer.

THE LOST CHORD The Q Chord is a deeper product than I initially thought. It's fun when used as a stand-alone instrument, seems well built, and sounds good as low-end home instruments go. In conjunction with a GM module, it makes a viable songwriting tool for basic sketches.
However, the odd selection of MIDI data it sends, the fact that you can't disable the drums, and the ergonomic problems convinced me that the Q Chord is not the MIDI controller I had hoped for. Basically, it's a nice home-entertainment instrument with limited MIDI features.

Jeff Obee is a San Francisco Bay Area-based composer and producer who plays the synthesizer and fretless bass.
I found that you could contact Jeff  here through Facebook, of course. I look forward to hearing more great things from him.

Learning Music...

If you have been following my blogs you may remember me talking about the Q chord. I have always loved music as far as I can remember. I even remember my 5th Grade Music teacher Miss Plant. in San Antonio Texas. That is where I really learn how to read music and enjoy it so much. As the years went on I lost my voice and learned how to talk again, my love of music was still there but my voice and singing would never be the same. I also forget a lot, how to read or play music. so this is my attempt to re teach my self how. After going over several videos on line I choose to follow Walt's lessons and will place it here as well they are free available to the general public. I hope you enjoy as much as I do, as I re learn how to read and play music once again.

Here is a list of all the lessons and videos...

A new Forum... for me....

 It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.  Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.  ~Ernest Hemingway

Well as I settle down here in Missouri, I have been introduced to a new group of people that share trekking with me please join them and me at their forum. The Trike Doctor.  They are planning a get together here in Missouri, I believe the dates are the 22-24 of October. So stop by and say "Hi" to Bruce and the gang.

Feast of Tabernacles

A booth or Sekhakh

The Feast of Tabernacles is just around the corner. I will be celebrating my first Tabernacle with The Wendel's here in Mansfield, Missouri. This is the seventh of seven feasts that YAHWEH was commanded us to keep. There was the 1.) the Passover, 2.) Unleavened Bread, 3.) First Fruits, 4.) Weeks, 5.) Trumpets, 6.) Yom Kippur, and 7.) Tabernacles. Now Remember I and new and I am just learning all this material. There is a ton of information available to view on the internet, just like my blog, so remember take all that you read and study to YAHWEH and study it with the Bible, If it does not line up with HIS word it is not of HIM. Here is a couple of links that I have used, please refer to them, as well They are 1.) Tabernacles. and 2.) The Feast of Tabernacles (Booths) by Bible Truth Web Site.

After the return from Exile, Ezra read the law and led the Israelites in acts of penitence during the Feast of Tabernacles (Nehemiah 8:13-18). The dedication of Solomon's' Temple also took place (I Kings 8:2) during this feast. Later, Josephus referred to the Feast of Tabernacles as the holiest and greatest of the Hebrew feasts.

To remember this time the Jews build small tabernacles or booths which walls of plaited branches and thatched roofs as God instructed in Leviticus 23:42. Today to fulfill the commandment, sekhakh (booth) is still constructed. It must be made of something that grew from the ground and was cut off, such as tree branches, corn stalks, bamboo reeds, sticks, or two-by-fours and constructed so it will not blow away in the wind. The Sekhakh roof must be left loose, not tied together or tied down. Sekhakh must be placed sparsely enough that rain can get in, and preferably sparsely enough that the stars can be seen, but not so sparsely that more than ten inches is open at any point or that there is more light than shade.

As you can imagine there are ceremonies and passages that are read and followed though out the Feast of Tabernacles.

It is in connection with the Feast of Tabernacles and this eighth day that the gospel of John records a fascinating event. John wrote: "In the last day (eighth day), that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water" (John 7:37-38). Yashewa was saying in the clearest possible way that He alone was the source of life and blessing; that He could meet every need of the human heart.

No matter how you celebrate your Feast of Tabernacle, you should come away the knowledge and feeling that Yashewa is coming back for his people. So keep HIM in your heart, let every thought and word from your being be as if HE spoke it. Love each other, help each other.  Give and not expect anything back. Live as if Yashewa's kingdom is in you and you will be better for it. Give thanks in all things and praise HIM. We are not of this world but HIS in the end, so set yourself apart from the world. It is not easy, in fact it is hard to do. But how great is his reward.

More on the Feast of Trumpets....

Note: I have taken just a small part of the message from Chuck Missler passage the complete message is here. I do not pertend to know all about this topic and I myself is just barely grasping the material... enjoy.  Andye

Israel's New Year Begins: The Feast of Trumpets

by Chuck Missler

The Feast of Trumpets
September 25th is also known as Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets.3 Observed on the First and Second of Tishri, the celebration actually begins 29 days earlier: a series of over 90 trumpet blasts accrue for a final blowing of blasts on the climax of the celebration, the Teki'ah Gedolah, the Great Blowing.
In the rabbinical literature, there are many details that are quite provocative. Among the most significant is the use of the shofar, the ram's horn, instead of the usual silver Temple trumpets. (If you visit the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, you can see the silver trumpets that have been fashioned for use in the coming Temple.)
The shofar is associated with the Akedah, Abraham's offering of Isaac on Mount Moriah, as detailed in Genesis 22. Rabbinical tradition associates the left horn of the ram as the "first trump" and the right horn as the "last trump".
A distinguishing feature of the celebration is the last, climactic blast, the Teki'at Shofar. This is not the usual series of short bursts, signalling alarm or bad news. Rather, it is a long blast, signalling victory or good news. It is this last blast that is referred to as the last trump.

Please refer to the link above for more information on this topic.

The Christian Feast of Trumpets

The Christian Feast of Trumpets by Wayne Blank.

God does not do things in vain, or without purpose. The Old Testament Holy Days were not just some sort of Divine make-work project to keep the Israelites busy while they were out wandering in the desert (see Wilderness Journey). All of the Old Testament Holy Days (Passover, Unleavened Bread, The Feast of Weeks/Pentecost, The Feast of Trumpets, The Day Of Atonement, The Feast Of Tabernacles and The Eighth Day - see also Christian Living) were, and continue to be, living symbols of the stages of God's Plan of Salvation for all humanity. Those events are now in progress, and true Christians, who are spiritual Israel (see Physical and Spiritual Israel and Daughter of Zion) are the manifestation of it.

In the Christian world, Rosh Hashanah is known as The Feast Of Trumpets. Many Christians observe this festival for its Christian prophetic application - The Return Of Jesus Christ and the first resurrection (see Resurrections). Just as Christ, the Lamb of God, was sacrificed at Passover (in spring, in the northern hemisphere), for which The Lord instituted Passover to symbolize and foreshadow, it is very likely that His return will be at the time of the Feast of Trumpets (in autumn, in the northern hemisphere), for which The Lord instituted the Feast of Trumpets to symbolize and foreshadow.

"Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality." (1 Corinthians 15:51-53 RSV)

"For this we declare to you by the word of The Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of The Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. For The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet The Lord in the air" (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 RSV) (see also When Will You Be Judged?)

Religious strife

"I am the one who creates the light and makes the darkness. I am the one who sends good times and bad times. I, the Lord, am the one who does these things."
Isaiah 45:7 NLT

Extinguishing Protestantism in France

"The Wars of Religion began in France in 1562 between the Roman Catholics and the French Protestants called Huguenots. Though he had to convert to Catholicism to ascend to the throne, Henry IV did not forget his Huguenot roots, and in 1598 issued the Edict of Nantes, which gave the Huguenots freedom of religion, civil equality, and fair administration of justice—the first time freedom was granted to two religions to coexist in a nation.

Louis XIV shared none of his grandfather's empathy for the Huguenots, and on October 18, 1685, he revoked the Edict of Nantes. All Huguenot worship and education were forbidden, and all Huguenot churches were either destroyed or turned into Catholic churches.

Mounted soldiers were housed in the homes of Huguenots. The troops were given license to do anything they pleased, short of murder, leading to horrendous acts of torture and humiliation.

Of the 1.5 million Huguenots living in France in 1660, over the next decades 400,000 risked their lives by escaping across the guarded borders into countries across Europe. Many also fled to the American colonies.

At the height of the Reformation nearly half of the population of France was Huguenot. But as a result of the revocation of the Edict of Nantes and the intense persecution that followed, today less than one percent of the French share the faith of the Huguenots, making France a mission field for the gospel."
