Following up on the popular Benjamin® Discovery PCP air rifle comes the revolutionary Benjamin® Marauder! This powerful new PCP air rifle offers all the features needed for field target shooting and small game hunting.
The Marauder features a Crosman Custom choked barrel and internal shroud for unsurpassed accuracy and ultra quiet operation. The new two stage adjustable, match grade trigger pack with a metal trigger makes every shot smooth and steady. The Marauder also has a raised aluminum breech with a heavy duty pull bolt making loading the gun and mounting a scope a snap. The Marauder is also a Multi-Shot rifle with the new 10 shot auto indexing clip. This gun also operates at fill pressures between 2,000 and 3,000 psi. This rifle can be filled with the Benjamin® hand pump or a high pressure tank.
This powerful and exciting air rifle will once again set Benjamin® as the value to performance leader in the PCP category.
This is the Benjamin Marauder, Crosman’s second PCP rifle. The bottom rifle is their first a Benjamin Discovery.
The stock on the Marauder is walnut with laser cut checkering on the pistol grip and forestock, and is ambidextrous with a raised comb that yielded a good sight alignment through a Centerpoint 3-9x40 30 mm scope with medium profile mounts.
The Marauder uses a proprietary ten shot rotary magazine, which is indexed as the bolt is pushed forward after cycling. The first thing to mention is that my prototype gun dismounts the magazine to the left hand side of the gun, whereas in the production gun the magazine will be removed from the right. When the bolt is pulled all the way rearward, the magazine is simply pushed out. After loading the process is reversed, and again the bolt has to be positioned fully to the rear. The magazine is fairly easy to load once you get used to it, though it does take a little practice being neither the easiest or most difficult I’ve come across.
The Benjamin name is on the bottom of the forearm it looks so good so everyone knows the pride of this rifle.
The gauge is calibrated to 3000 psi. The hex screw that attaches the action to the stock is seen just ahead of the trigger guard.
As with the Disco, the Marauder fills using a quick connect Foster type fitting.
Above is the Benjamin Marauder with the CenterPoint 8-32X56 scope, this is an impressive air rifle with this scope.
3-stage hand pump; Made specifically for the Benjamin Discovery; Includes the Discovery's required female Foster quick-disconnect on the end of the pump hose; Goes up to 3600 psi (although the Discovery operates on a max pressure of 2000 psi); With other hoses, pump can be adapted to other PCPs; Requires less effort than other pumps; Integral air pressure gauge; Moisture filter.
