A New trend for 2010... iXXXX

Yep this will be the year of iPad, iTablet, iSlate, iFlat or JooJoo's. Basic anything that has a flat screen  look to it will be coming out of the closet this year.


On the heels of iPAD; a British company, X2 Mobile Computing, one of the UK ’s fastest growing developers of mobile computing solutions has announced their Windows/Linux based a non-Apple -  iTablet in a variety of colors to choose from. Also two screens to choose from an 10.2 inch TFT widescreen or a 12.1 inch XGA widescreen, that features touch and optional multi touch wrapped in stunning slim-line bezels. They have large, easy to use on-screen keyboards and powerful integrated graphics processors that deliver high quality visually stunning images at up 1024 x 768 resolution. You’ll also have your choice of either a 12.1-inch widescreen XGA or a 10.2-inch widescreen TFT.

It is powered by a 1.6 GHz processor and using hard-disk storage giving this a 35mm thickness, which is not really thin for a tablet format. However you get 250GB of memory, 3 USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth and yes a built-in USB 1.3 MP webcam, which the iPAD currently does not have. Rich sound can be through the built-in stereo speakers or headset. It is reported to also have optional HDMI output to enable high quality playback of HD video through larger TV screens.

As an e-reader the text is displayed the way it is meant to be read. The iTablet also provides high definition content playback to deliver a rich multimedia experience and the screen can be viewed in portrait or landscape format.  X2's iTablet should really be nipping at the heels of Apple's iPAD and should give them a run for their money.

It is safe to say this will have multi-tasking and none of the flash issues of the Apple OS. The iTablet is stated to deliver a 20% reduction in power consumption over the previous generation of processors with an extended battery life, I am waiting to see what that actually provides in real time.

This is just an announcement, no pricing has been released as of yet, and looking at an April ship date. Thank goodness and to think I was leaning towards an Apple! Maybe we can get (I am drooling as I say it), Samantha FOX to do a "hands on demo" here in the States.

Steven Seagal: Lawman 2009

Boy look that the things you miss when ya do not have a TV.  Steven Seagal my main man. If I could have been his twin, that would have been COOL. I don't  know maybe I have always thought of him as a big brother. He has many GREAT movies IMHO (about 40), but the one I never get tried of is "On Deadly Ground" a 1994 movie, followed by "Under Siege" a 1992 movie.
But now I learn that Steven is active with "Steven Seagal: Lawman" a series which premiered on the on A&E Network.in December 2009. So I did not miss it by much. I look forward to catching up on this series, ASAP. I understand he has a couple more movies out I look forward to seeing. Thanks Big Brother.

Pages... a new Feature?

Well I guess I do not understand or it is not what I has hoping for.  I thought that "pages" were like chapters or subjects under the main blog, and each "page" had individual post under it... Right?

Well please help me out here.  Or point me to some Blogger.com blogs that are using this feature.

Stupid in America

After watching an ABC 20/20 show with John Stossel, I highly recommend watching it. Education in American with NEVER be right till we get this right. Union's in America across the board have always undermined and in the end destroyed what they intended to protect. Can we afford to continue destroying our children's education?  I would love to see FOX news pick up on this story and run with it. With it being the most watched news station in this country, I could only see good come out of this - reaching more people than ever before. Please watch John's ABC 20/20 show on "Stupid in America".  




 Above all Pray for our children, our teachers, and our nation,  Have trust in GOD, not in our NATION. Put GOD first and all with fall in to place. PRAY without ceasing.

WE THE PEOPLE....

Possibly the 3 most important words and well known, in the world! "WE THE PEOPLE". Let us not forget the words what followed. Listen to possibly our world's most well known ambassador as he speaks of these words.





"WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

We are American's first! No matter what race, creed or national background we come from. No political or party line should EVER stand in our way to preserve these few precious words that have been handed down through the ages. This Preamble and the Constitution that followed was not written to "bend to our will" or to "change to our desire", but to keep WE THE PEOPLE and the world on a path that humanity should and can not change without total disregard to ALL MANKIND throughout the world!  

When was the last time you have said the Pledge of Allegiance To the Flag Of  The United States of American. And meant it. Red Skelton in my humble opinion may have said it best..Read these words let them sink into every fiber of your soul. Pray to GOD that these word hold fast! Go to this site to help you understand what the Pledge of Allegiance "really means", so the next you recite the "Pledge of Allegiance" you know why you said these words.

Google Chromium GPadFlash back to early January, many people were eager to finally see the unveiling of the HTC-made Nexus One “Google phone”. Thanks to the hardware specs on the Nexus, it was undoubtedly the most powerful Android mobile phone of its time, featuring an AMOLED touch screen, a Snapdragon processor and more. But the real excitement was not just for the device, but for what the Nexus stood for, it was the promise of a new phone that would take the place of the iPhone in society, an iPhone killer.

Within a week after the launch of the Google phone, it was clear that it was far from anything but an iPhone killer. Despite the device’s superior specifications, it lacked the mass appeal and availability to sell well. In the end, the device’s world launch sold only 20,000 units in the first week. A paltry amount compared to the 200,000 iPhone unit Vodafone sold in its re-release of the device in the UK.

Just a week ago, Apple unveiled its new tablet device, the iPad. Looks like Google will not just be challenging the iPhone, but the iPad as well. A recently uploaded video showcased a demonstration of the Chrome user interface on a full touch screen display that looked a lot like a tablet device. The video was made by Chrome OS developer Glen Murphy.



So far, the device looks capable of some of the major things that the iPad cannot. The first thing we noticed is the presence of multitasking. The different windows each display different tasks running at the same time. While the iPad has the hardware to support multi-tasking the feature is currently not present. Reports also indicate that HTC might be teaming up with Google for this ambitious device.

Google's Tablet ???

Rumors of a February 5th announcement that Google will be introducing their tablet on that date. After viewing this site I thought I would share their thoughts and my hopes for this product. The article was written by Sarah Perez / February 2, 2010 8:01 AM

Officially, Google won't confirm any solid plans to release a tablet device when their new netbook-ready operating system, Chrome OS, debuts later this year. However, documentation appearing recently on the Chromium project website, the home of the open source code on top of which Chrome is built, shows that a tablet PC is a form factor the Internet giant is definitely considering. Assuming such a device was ever to launch, it would pit Google's vision for the future of mobile computing up against that of Apple's iPad, the highly-anticipated multi-touch tablet launched late last month to mixed reviews.
While both the Apple slate and the possible Google Chrome tablet tout sleek and shiny elegance on the outside, the two computing devices could not be more different on the inside. And when it comes time to buy, consumers will have to make a choice: what sort of tablet is the future of computing? Apple's locked-down and closed ecosystem of apps running on proprietary hardware or Google's browser-based OS that's as open as the web itself?

Concepts for the Google Tablet
Before we get ahead of ourselves here, it's important to clarify one thing: these mockups and design schematics do not confirm the existence of a Google tablet computer. Posted to the official Chromium site by Google Chrome designer, Glen Murphy, they only represent concepts Google may be considering for their new operating system.


That being said, it wouldn't be a surprise if one or more of the upcoming "Google computers" were in the shape of a slate. Considering the buzz Apple's iPad has generated, Google won't have to sell the idea of tablet computing to the general public. They'll just have to convince consumers that their tablet is the better alternative.
Still, because nothing is officially confirmed, the arguments below are hypothetical in nature, pitting the iPad against a possible Google tablet computer.

Why Buy Google's "iPad?"

So how will Google convince the buying public to choose their tablet over the iPad? Two things immediately come to mind. The first, of course, is price. Although the low-end of the iPad line is a reasonable $499, models with additional storage or 3G connections make the iPad much pricier - pushing $800 for the high-end devices. Google, meanwhile, can sell their OS on a number of form factors via a number of hardware partners (HTC is rumored as being the initial Google tablet partner). That will allow Google to price some models competitively with Apple's iPad, if not beat iPad prices entirely.
More importantly, though, Google's tablet will have one major advantage over Apple's iPad: it will have an open application platform.
The only problem is getting consumers to understand what being open means...and care. Where Apple's iPad will be restricted to running approved applications from the iTunes App Store - a business model that has raised flags when Apple's app overlords blocked popular, rival apps from their store (most notably, Google Voice) - the model has proved incredibly successful for the Cupertino-based company. The iPhone OS is the most popular smartphone OS in the world with Google's mobile Android OS trailing further behind. Although Google's mobile offering is far more open, consumers have - so far - voted with their wallets, choosing Apple's restrictive "we'll think for you" mobile OS and accompanying ecosystem over Google's "do what you want" alternative.
Although that concept may work when it comes to our mobiles, tablet computing may find consumers...well...thinking differently.



Apple's Vision Includes the Web

A tablet computer is more like a netbook than a mobile phone and when people use a netbook, they expect to be able to use - you guessed it - the net. But this is where Apple's vision may fail - at least for now. For whatever reason, Apple doesn't allow for Flash content on their iPad. Some say this has to do with the CPU-hungry runtime that negatively affects PC performance while eating away at precious battery life, others claim that Flash simply isn't an "elegant" enough solution for Apple, and still others claim that it has to do with personal rivalries between the two companies. But no matter what the real truth is, consumers won't care. Once they find out that video websites like YouTube don't work on the iPad, news sites like CNN lack video, and the TV portal Hulu is beyond reach, the iPad will, in their eyes, just NOT work.
Meanwhile, Google's Chrome OS will. It will provide access to the real web...and all its buggy code. And while that might degrade the battery's performance on a Chrome PC, consumers won't care so much because they'll be able to finally watch that new episode of "30 Rock."

But What about HTML5?

None of this is to say that supporting Flash will or won't be the final "make it or break it" decision when it comes to the selection of a new tablet PC. Ultimately, Flash will likely be phased out as the new web standard HTML5 is slowly phased in. With HTML5, videos will play smoothly, with no web plugin required. Already, YouTube is testing an HTML5 site, for example.
Still, Apple's decision to veto Flash represents a philosophical difference between the two companies - Google would never intentionally "break" the web. But Apple has a vision for their devices, and if they don't like how something is built, it won't run on their hardware. Flash may only be the first casualty in this war. This means any future company developing new web standards or software will either have to work with Apple - as Microsoft did with their Silverlight runtime - or deal with the potential consequences of losing access to millions of mobile users.

Eventually, these differences will have consumers choosing between two "big brother" type figures: the one that watches your activities everywhere on the web and the one that wants to control what the web even is.

Thank you Sarah for this great article I also think that the accessories like a webcam and flash use, will play a role in the final purchase or the ability to have an open OS that will allow you to grow.  I have used Google Chrome browser on my laptop, but seems to still have issues running under windows, So having a complete Google unit from head to toe would be nice to see.  I currently use the browser known as flock, while I hope Google solves some capbility and speed issues. Or I simply more over to a completely brand new Google OS and tablet. I would also think battery life would be a big factor as well. I look forward to seeing the Google products in hopes that that may have merged from HTC as well. I also just can help thinking that Google is going to be the "Big Brother" that refuses to allow us to our privacy. Knowing more about us than you know about ourselves.

1st Possible iPAD fix!

The omission of a front-facing webcam from the Apple iPad has been a point of criticism by many over the past week, but judging by some photos of internal components the Cupertino company may be planning to address that. Mission:Repair, who specialise in repairing electronics, claim to have received their first batch of iPad parts, and spotted that a MacBook webcam assembly fits perfectly into a gap in the iPad’s frame.
The frame has a space in the middle at the top, with a large central hole that’s perfectly sized for the MacBook webcam lens, and a smaller hole on either size that line up perfectly with the status LED and ambient light sensor.  The obvious conclusion is that the iPad was designed with a webcam in mind.
It seems unlikely that Apple will add a new feature to the first-gen iPad before it has even launched, at least not when it comes to hardware, leaving the possibility that they plan a second-generation version using the same frame assembly.  Of course, we’ll have to wait for the inevitable teardown post-release to know what’s inside for sure.

Amazon went on the offensive over the weekend in a brief battle with publisher Macmillan, pulling the publisher’s physical and digital titles on Friday from Amazon.com and the Kindle Store. By late Sunday, Macmillan was back and Amazon was beaten. While this is a victory for Apple and the iPad, it’s a loss for consumers, at least in the short term, and probably forever.

Stealth (2005)

Wiki [1] said this "Stealth is a 2005 action/adventure sci-fi thriller starring Jessica Biel, Josh Lucas, Jamie Foxx, and Sam Shepard. The movie was directed by Rob Cohen, director of The Fast and the Furious and xXx. It was released on July 29, 2005 by Columbia Pictures. The film cost $138 million to make, but was panned by critics, and was a colossal box office bomb making only $76,932,872 worldwide, one of the biggest losses in cinematic history."
Sorry guys, if they lost money it was not because of me. I have watched this movie so many time I can't count it.!  It is right there next to "Top Gun"!  The starring cast is perfect the three "J",  Jessica, Josh, and Jamie. "Great Job" guys, you got my vote anytime.

If you did not see it you might like to.  Drone's are here to stay! Boy this is one HOT looking UCAV! The plot is based off a rouge AI Drone (a EDI), known as "Eddie" going off on it's own mission based off of theories from the inventor's thoughts on war and not the assigned mission. Eddie joins Jessica, Josh, and Jamie with their F-37 Talons in a action packed movie. Great action, Great flying. Great actors. I will leave why the film cost so much to others to ponder or why it did not pull in the money (what is wrong with great flying not everything is about s-e-x). I believe that people have just got to the point they want it all, and have forgot about a fair days wage for my "best" work. Look at this trailer on "Stealth" (2005)

4.    According to legend, if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter weather. If he does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring.
5.    No, Punxsutawney Phil’s forecasts are not made in advance by the Inner Circle. After Phil emerges from his burrow on February 2nd, he speaks to the Groundhog Club President in Groundhogese. His proclamation is then translated for the world.
