Thank You David for such I nice video, and no the wind was not a problem, in fact I enjoyed the background sounds of the family and animals in the video. It gave me the feeling that I was right there sitting with you while you were making your walking stick. precious moments for sure. Your ratings on this video look good at less the 12 hours and over 300 views with 20 percent of the rating your video as well - oops I gave it two 5's maybe that will make a perfect 10!. I look forward to seeing the other things that you do to your stick along the way. Shalom Bro. PS how did you know it was a cedar stick?

Making a Camp Stool

Well after watching this video from Bushcraft On Fire several times I decided I had to put this video on my blog. As always David and Tam do an excellent job with their videos and subject matter. Join me as I watch this video over and over. In this video David reviews and mentions a few new products from Corona and Hedgehog Leather Works (Go to 2:50 minutes)as he makes a nice stool. NEWS FLASH... Brother David and Family are Doing Well

YES as I suspected, Brother David and family got hit with the bad winter weather and having to stay put till the roads open up. We may well see them Sunday. All ours prayers are with you all.

Bannock and Sausage

This video from the Canteenshop is so tasty I will have to try this one out. I suggest not mixing the ingredients in the plastic bag, but in a another bowl, cup, or even the pan. Less mess and more product in the belly. I assume you add water till you reach the desired texture you wish to have. I will have to ask Tam and David about this one... (No meat, just Walnuts, David!)













Bannock Mix Recipe:
- 2 Cups of Flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking Soda
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
Mix Dry then add Water. Stir the mix instead of Kneading
Options: Add Fruit and/or Nuts Top off with syrup or powdered sugar.

This class is an introductory 3 Day class that will serve as a basis for higher level classes. You will learn basics such as making and using an Emergency Kit, Shelters, Basics of Fire, Water Procuration & Treatment, and lots more! This class is approximately 30% classroom time and 70% hands on experience. It is filled with activities that are both fun and educational. You will walk away feeling more confident and understanding the basics of how to live until help arrives in an emergency situation! We will be holding this camp at beautiful Raccoon Park just North of Pittsburgh, PA.
