The Wiccan Rede

THE WICCAN REDE
Bide the Wiccan Laws we must In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Live and let live. Fairly take and fairly give. Cast the Circle thrice about To keep the evil spirits out. To bind the spell every time Let the spell be spake in rhyme. Soft of eye and light of touch, Speak little, listen much. Deosil go by the waxing moon, Chanting out the Witches' Rune. Widdershins go by the waning moon, Chanting out the baneful rune. When the Lady's moon is new, Kiss the hand to her, times two. When the moon rides at her peak, Then your heart's desire seek, Heed the North wind's mighty gale, Lock the door and drop the sail. When the wind comes from the South, Love will kiss thee on the mouth. When the wind blows from the West, Departed souls will have no rest. When the wind blows from the East, Expect the new and set the feast. Nine woods in the cauldron go, Burn them fast and burn them slow. Elder be the Lady's tree, Burn it not or cursed you'll be. When the Wheel begins to turn, Let the Beltane fires burn. When the Wheel has turned to Yule, Light the log and the Horned One rules. Heed ye Flower, Bush and Tree, By the Lady, blessed be. Where the rippling waters go, Cast a stone and truth you'll know. When ye have a true need, Hearken not to others' greed. With a fool no season spend, Lest ye be counted as his friend. Merry meet and merry part, Bright the cheeks and warm the heart. Mind the Threefold Law you should, Three times bad and three times good. When misfortune is enow, Wear the blue star on thy brow. True in Love ever be, Lest thy lover's false to thee. Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: An ye harm none, do what ye will.
- Blessed Be -

Define Love

This is by far the most difficult question for mankind to define and to understand. When you are going into a relationship or if you are already there this is an important concept to grasp and to strive for. Let's turn to the Bible to answer this question. As the Holy Bible is truly our only "owners manual" that has been with us since the beginning of recorded history.

1Corinthians 13:7  (Love) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things
1Corinthians 13:8  Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
1 Corinthians 13

1 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. 2 If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. 3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.

   Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
   Love doesn't strut,
   Doesn't have a swelled head,
   Doesn't force itself on others,
   Isn't always "me first,"
   Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
   Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
   Puts up with anything,
   Trusts God always,
   Always looks for the best,
   Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

8-10 Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.

11 When I was an infant at my mother's breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.

12 We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!

13 But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly.

And the best of the three is love.

a Simple Prayer.

From time to time I get emails from close friends, that really make you think. HUMMMMM

If a "Dog" can pray to "God", how much "more" could we do and how much "less" should we do. It takes less an a second to simply say "Thank You Yashewa"... The Bible teaches us to take "all" things to HIM in prayer. If we can teach a "dog" to pray.  How much more can "He our Yashewa" teach us?

But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?"

Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'  The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."  Matthew 22:34-40

This speaks volumes... Love must be very powerful if all the law and prophets depend on this simple act of kindness.   If you Love, just a little more each day and soon there will not be room for any other feeling or act in your mind, body or soul. Just take a moment and think about this. HUMMMMM

Nooma...

Nooma” is a play on the Greek root pneuma, which means wind, breath, spirit, or ghost.

I lifted the words right from Nooma's page. I could not say it any better. I have watched all 24 of these short films. Rob Bell is profoundly simple and direct, yet he paints a truth that is so positive that it simply feels like it is the Master's plan along. Take a long at these films I am sure they will leave a profound statement on your heart and soul. Go to You Tube and check out the trailers or short films posted there or click on the link below. The 2nd film in the series, "FLAME", left me with a deeper sense of the the meaning of the word "Love". I just had to share this one film with you. Please enjoy.

"Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God’s work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion."

6 mi. Ride Today.

With my not eating and sleeping much these days. It was a pretty intense ride. Working on 2 months since I have seen my Sharon, this is taking toll on me more than any thing else. When I am without her I feel like a fish out of water, slowing dying without the very thing that makes life exist – Love. Just looking into her eyes gives living a whole new meaning. So I am hoping this ride will change something in me so I may sleep and eat right.  Blessed Be.
